Good deal on a Thuja

I was looking for some Thuja Green Giants and checked out a few places. Garden Goods Direct had a good price, especially with the first order discount I found. Shipping was free because my order was over $99, which was a nice bonus. The trees arrived pretty quick, took about 4 days to reach upstate New York. They looked healthy when they got here. Felt like a solid purchase for what I paid.

Consistent plant quality

This is my third or fourth time ordering from Garden Goods Direct. I got some blueberry bushes and a few perennial flowers this time. Like my previous orders, everything came well-packaged and in good condition. The lilac I bought last spring is doing great in the yard. Their plants always seem to adapt well once planted. It's why I keep coming back, I know what to expect from them.

Happy with my Fiddle Leaf

So, I finally decided to get a Fiddle Leaf Fig. My friend told me to check this site out. It shipped out pretty fast, like 3 days to get to me in Florida. The plant looked good when I unpacked it, no broken leaves or anything. It's sitting in my living room now and seems happy. Not much else to say, it was a smooth experience.

How do these guys compare to Fast Growing Trees? Been looking at both for some privacy plants.

C Cody Patel 1 month ago
I've used both. Garden Goods Direct seems to have a slightly better selection for unique flowering shrubs, and I think their plants arrive a bit more robust. FGT is good too, but sometimes their sizing feels a little smaller for the price.

Hard to say definitively, both are solid. Garden Goods Direct has good quality, but FGT sometimes has better deals on bulk trees, from my experience. Depends what you're looking for.

Hey has anyone bought trees from here? I'm trying to get some thuja green giants for privacy fence, just wondering how they arrive.

Yeah, I got some arborvitae last year. They ship them really carefully, like in these special boxes that keep them upright. Mine showed up looking pretty good.

Mine came in good condition too, like they really try to keep the soil moist during shipping. Haven't had any issues with them when they arrived.

I'm looking at some roses and maybe a couple of fruit trees. Does Garden Goods Direct ship to all states? Like, I'm in Arizona.

T Tom Reyes 1 month ago
pretty sure they ship everywhere in the US. I'm in Nevada and never had a problem.

They ship to most states, yep. Sometimes there are restrictions for certain plants to places like California or Hawaii, but usually it's fine for the continental US.

Thinking of ordering some stuff for my mom's birthday next month. How long does shipping usually take to California?

M Mark Walsh 1 month ago
It can vary a bit, but usually like 5-10 business days for me when I order to the west coast. Might be a bit longer for bigger plants.

I'd say a week to a week and a half is pretty standard for me. You can track it once it ships though.

What's the deal with returns if a plant shows up looking kinda sad? Do they make it a huge hassle?

A Alex 4 weeks ago
Not at all. I had one small shrub that looked pretty rough after shipping once and they replaced it without any fuss. Just contact their customer service.

They have a pretty good warranty policy. If it's dead on arrival or dies soon after, they'll usually replace it or give you a credit. Just take a pic.
